An opportunity exists for a dynamic, ‘switched on’, customer-focused Principal Correspondence Officer to support the Compliance and Regulatory Services Branch (CARS) with a diverse range of communication expertise across multiple medium.  

 

The Lifestyle and Community Services (LCS) Division directly protects and enhances the liveability, vibrancy and accessibility of Brisbane. The work it does reaches across the whole City and affects residents, businesses and visitors in myriad ways, every single day. No other Division has the impact on the ‘soul’ of the city as LCS.

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for researching and drafting high quality correspondence for elected representatives, the CEO and other executive managers on a range of compliance matters and disciplines.

 

Reporting to the Branch Administration Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • researching, coordinating, gathering and preparing high quality responses to complex enquiries within desired timeframes
  • preparing interim responses and briefing notes about complex or contentious customer correspondence for senior management
  • monitoring and reviewing correspondence against style guides and standards
  • providing support and training to team members and business units.

 

To be successful in this role you have:

  • well-developed communication, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • strong attention to detail and ability to draft complex and sensitive correspondence
  • ability to problem solve and manage competing deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • contribute to the team goals, objects and vision
  • demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with all levels of the organisation.
