About Us

Stretch-A-Family (SAF) is an accredited not-for-profit agency that has been caring for children and young people in Sydney since 1977. We are a trauma informed agency that provides therapeutic care - Foster Care and Residential Care for 0 - 18 year olds. We have two residential programs and a foster care program all based in the Sydney Metropolitan area.

 

About the role

The Marketing and Communications Officer is a newly created role to assist SAF develop and improve our recruitment of Foster Carers, the role will be varied and include:

  • Develop and coordinate integrated marketing and communication campaigns that have a direct impact on achieving Foster Carer recruitment targets.
  • Ensuring communication activities are managed in accordance with the strategic and operational plans and annual budget.
  • Identifying strategies to build awareness and knowledge in Foster Care and Out of Home Care to attract new Foster Carers.
  • Organise and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses.

 

Skills and Experience 

To be successful in this role, you will have a:

  • Sound understanding of marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and flexibility.
  • Experience in managing Social Media content.
  • Reporting experience to assess and evaluate on the success of recruitment and marketing drives.
  • The skill set to develop and manage the marketing collateral and promotional activities.
  • Experience in managing projects.

 

Essential Requirements

  • 2 years' experience in Marketing and Event Management
  • Strong marketing and event management skills;
  • The ability to prioritise and exercise well-developed problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience with digital marketing across multiple online and off-line platforms to increase stakeholder engagement.
  • High level computer literacy; use of the Microsoft suite of programs and range of on-line tools, including content management systems and appropriate social media platform coordination.
  • Current NSW Driver’s License.
  • Cleared Working with Children Check.
