About the organisation
DARE Disability Support is an NDIS Accredited local provider who supports people with a disability in the Blue Mountains, Penrith, and Hawkesbury regions
  
Role Summary
This position is responsible for the promotion of DARE, it’s mission, programs, services and products to the broader community as well as the development, implementation and delivery of marketing and strategies and initiatives in line with DARE Disability Support’s strategic plan.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Create brand awareness including local media presence; special events; social media and advertising to promote services, events and programs
  • Develop and deliver communication strategies
  • Create and manage publications including brochures, information sheets, photographs and reports
  • Develop and manage website, improving usability, content and design
  • Create content and manage social media
  • Develop compelling and persuasive individual and trust/foundation funding proposals
  • Ensure project funding is distributed and acquitted correctly and create financial reports for donors
  • Prepare, copy write and publish quarterly newsletter and other internal communications
  • Preparation and publication of Annual Report
  
  
Skills & Attributes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Practical understanding of marketing, brand development and promotion
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or related disciplines desirable
  • Working knowledge of social media networks and website structures
  • Interest in the not-for-profit sector
