Marketing Assistant - Skincare

Kao is a leading global company in the Beauty, Human Healthcare & Home Care industries with over 130 years' experience in creating innovative solutions for customers.  Based in our new office in Camberwell, Victoria, Kao has a unique opportunity for an ambitious marketer to join our Mass Consumer Division.

 

The Marketing Assistant - Skincare will contribute to the development, management and performance of the Skincare brand portfolio, which currently includes the Bioré and Jergens brands.  The scope of this role is wide and covers all marketing disciplines and responsibilities required to plan and execute new product launches and marketing plans that will increase brand equity, awareness and sales.

 

Working in a high performance team, reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, this role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be involved in all major touchpoints of the brand, from strategic planning to brand building, financial and sales metrics, brand communication and performance analysis.  You will demonstrate a combination of creativity and commercial outlook, and have a personal drive to succeed. You will also be self-motivated, able to work autonomously and achieve your own KPI's to achieve results.

 

We are seeking a confident candidate with good interpersonal and communication skills.  You have a strong work ethic and are keen to learn.  You are autonomous and forward-thinking, are able to prioritise and manage your time effectively, with high attention to detail.  You possess intermediate computer skills and have a solid knowledge of MS Office: Powerpoint, Excel, Word.

You have a minimum of 1 to 2 years’ work experience, ideally in Marketing.

 

Key focus areas include

  • Liaising with external/internal communication partners, from media and social media agencies to PR
  • Execution of go to market plans, campaigns and collateral, from ATL to POS
  • Working closely with sales counterparts to develop strong retailer plans
  • Assist in analysis of category and brand performance and sales
  • Reporting to and liaison with global team on brand plans and performance.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise, organize and manage time effectively with high attention to detail
  • Resourceful, proactive, forward-thinker
  • Intermediate computer skills with solid knowledge of MS Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
  • Tertiary qualified in Marketing/Business/Management.
