Lambert Estate Wines, situated in Angaston in the beautiful Barossa Valley is a premium wine destination. The state of the art winery, cellar door, accommodation, function space, gallery and restaurant were completed in 2016. With an operational winery downstairs, and seating for up to 600 guests upstairs in a variety of spaces, Lambert Estate is committed to providing an incredible food and wine experience to all guests. With home grown produce from our greenhouse and orchard, and spectacular views overlooking the rolling hills and vineyards, Lambert Estate provides a truly memorable experience.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for securing events, management of events and appropriate function follow up.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organize, coordinate and deliver high quality food and wine experiences and events
- Marketing the venue to develop new events promoting Lambert Estate as a destination venue in the Barossa Valley and attract new function clients
- Developing and expanding existing accounts, focusing on achieving repeat business and upselling opportunities where possible
- Coordinate with clients to create custom and unforgettable experiences
- Ensure successful and profitable outcomes
- Coordinate with the kitchen, front of house & management to ensure all preparations for functions and events are completed on schedule and all tasks are delivered to the highest quality standard
- Handle all customer inquiries promptly & professionally maintaining the highest level of customer service at all times
- Respond positively and correct potential problems before they affect guests
- Other duties as assigned
The successful applicant will possess the following qualities:
- Experience in the successful coordination and managing of high end Functions and Events in a busy venue
- Strong customer service focus and orientation
- High attention to detail, show initiative, fast thinker, excellent problem solver
- A positive & professional attitude with highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with H&L point of sale preferable but not essential
- Appreciation and passion for wine and food, with hands on food and beverage service experience preferable
- Have own transport, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights
