Specialist multicultural research agency requires experienced qualitative researchers on a casual or contract basis for focus group moderation and depth interview work with people from a non-English speaking background.
Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Korean, Hindi, Punjabi, Iranian and Afghani.
About you:
- Excellent verbal communication skills in one or more of the languages listed above
- Experience in moderating focus group discussions and depth interviews either in English or in own-language
- Excellent own community contacts and networks
- Capacity to recruit people for qualitative research purposes
- Excellent written skills in English (samples of written reports may be required)
- Work located in Sydney.

We conduct a wide range of research work and campaigns for Australian and State government clients as well as large corporations with a consumer focus.
The work is highly rewarding and involves setting up and running focus groups or depth interviews with own-language community members and can include:
- Focus testing of advertising concepts and materials
- Eliciting community perceptions to important social issues
- Developing attitudinal and behavioural change strategies.
