An exciting opportunity has just arisen for an Insights Executive to join the team and help our Insights and Strategy department in achieving our vision of turning the business into the number one consumer insights experts in the industry, further cementing our leadership status in the media arena.

 

The role & the perfect candidate:

We are looking for a passionate researcher who loves uncovering what consumers think and why they behave the way they do. You’ll need to enjoy variety, work autonomously across various facets of the business and be great at managing internal stakeholders, from the Commercial Advertising team through to Editorial. We want a bright, creatively minded thinker with tenacity and a proactive attitude. This is the perfect opportunity to be part of an inspiring team where you’ll get to learn from experienced professionals in an exciting environment. 

You’ll have some experience working on quantitative research projects, ideally around 2 years working in research agency environment. You will support the insights team in delivering research and insights to answer business problems and explore opportunities from different perspectives. You have a passion for current and future trends with your finger on the pulse of as many different consumer groups and life stages as possible.

 

Additionally, you will have:

  • Approximately 2 years’ experience in quantitative research across a variety of methodologies, and in running and managing projects, including taking a brief, writing questionnaires and using data to extract the key points of the story.
  • Ability to write a strong insights brief and turn data into insights.
  • Analytical thinking and ability to think strategically and creatively about a problem.
  • Advanced software skills: strong PowerPoint skills and database, Q or similar.
  • A good networker with the ability to build and maintain relationships with Publishers, Editorial, Marketing and Advertising.
  • Degree qualifications in Business Administration, Market Research, Marketing or a related field.
  • Experience working with clients in any of the following categories will be highly regarded: FMCG, luxury brands, financial services and/or automotive.
  • Experience using Roy Morgan/Nielson desirable.
  • Experience with segmentation, ROI and advertising effectiveness methodologies advantageous.
  • Experience managing research communities is also advantageous.
