About us 

 

Axx is a newly-launched video distribution platform that wants to change the way we see learning. Our content is Christian but relevant to a wide audience.  

 

One side of the platform will enable audiences to stream video that helps them address the big issues in life, delve into the hot issues in today’s world, navigate tricky taboo topics and think more deeply about their calling, relationships and wellbeing. The other will provide structured learning for professionals on these topics and more, including ministry and theology, workplace skills and leadership.  

 

Axx is about more than just training or great entertainment: we want to empower and equip people who don’t usually have access to resources on life, faith and ministry - from Christians and churches who don’t know what information to trust, and in majority world countries with little access to quality training. We want to provide life-changing resources through global media collaboration.  

 

We’re experienced ministry and media experts who curate content and co-produce with other reputable experts. Dr. Brendan Roach, our Founder and CEO, is a leader in educational innovation. Tex Houston, our Media Manager has extensive media experience especially in documentaries, education and ministry settings. 

 

You’ll join us in the scenic Waterman Business park, a newly-opened office and coworking space in the eastern suburbs. And you’ll be a key contributor to our hands-on, start-up team, working with our small executive group to help define and shape the company for years to come. 

 

About the role & responsibilities

On a day to day basis, you will: 

  • Be responsible for Axx’s market launch, customer development and ongoing consumer growth, including through audience acquisition, engagement and data mining. 

  • Manage customer acquisition campaigns (organic and paid) and ongoing activity across channels including search, social media and email. 

  • Identify content distribution and brand development opportunities for our learning and streaming platforms, based on engagement data, business channel partnerships and competitive intelligence. 

  • Gather data on customer behaviour and satisfaction to maintain and improve the overall experience. 

  • Steward our brand in the marketplace, developing and providing quality assurance for all communications and marketing collateral. 

  • Work with contractors and agencies to deliver on the above items and provide hands-on deliverables and expertise day-to-day in our start-up workplace. 

You are: 

  • A relationship-builder and outstanding communicator, excelling in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer environments 

  • Keen to use your skills and experience to grow a product with purpose 

  • A hands-on doer who loves conceptualising the big picture strategy but also getting involved in the doing 

  • Passionate about delivering the best customer experience, and using behavioural data to form insights that will drive our business direction 

  • Looking to participate in a growing business with a bold mission 

 

You will bring: essential  

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing and business development, experience ideally with a focus on educational products, services and marketplaces 

  • High performance results from using social media platforms in a business context and a deep understanding of analytics and toolkits across AdWords, SEO and social media marketing 

  • An entrepreneurial and growth mindset with experience in brand-building and revenue generation for early-stage digital start-ups 

  • Excellent project management skills, including a track-record in managing contractor relationships and deliverables on-time and on-budget  

  • Significant hands-on experience creating and managing successful online campaigns and to drive audiences, boost app downloads, convert to revenue, etc.  

You will bring: preferred 

  • 3+ years of experience with app product marketing, ideally of video services for streaming audiences, or the equivalent
