What you`ll do

The Category Analyst, Business & Government is responsible for supporting Heads of Segment Development and Senior Managers, Segment Development in developing category and segment strategies. Building and managing relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders across the business you will support validation of challenges and assessment of opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of category and segment strategies
  • Support the articulation of initiatives to create sustainable value across to the categories in terms of cost reduction, revenue uplift and driving small business NPS
  • Create presentations as required to socialise and seek business support for identified category initiatives
  • Work with insights, analytics and CX teams to identify and/or develop research to support analysis of identified challenges and opportunities
  • Assist in meeting category targets by tracking and analysing performance data
  • Track and analyse business and market trends to recommend new strategies
  • Actively monitor and analyse category market, competition and consumer insights
  • Identify potential partnership opportunities with 3rd parties to further category goals

What we are looking for

We’d love to hear from passionate and Strategy/Product Developers with a strong background in managing relationships within commercial environment.  If you think you’ve got what it takes and want to be part of our team you’re going to need the following:

  • Demonstrated experience working in management consultancy, strategy function, or customer-led product development function within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of key market drivers, industry players and latest developments within competitive markets
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business / Commerce, Economics, Engineering or other relevant field 
  • Commercially driven with ability to think pragmatically about strategy and complex issues
