We are seeking a Head of Communications to lead our passionate team of corporate communications professionals who are responsible for media relations, internal communications, corporate social responsibility and corporate brand strategy aligned with the organisation’s external affairs program. In this role you will provide strategic communications counsel to senior leaders across the organisation, you will oversee externally focused issues management and crisis response as well as providing effective brand and public relations strategy.

This is an important leadership role that is pivotal in positively impacting organisational behaviour through effective internal corporate communications that enhances employee understanding of the company’s purpose, values and objectives.

Working with the General Manager of External and Corporate Affairs, key accountabilities for this position include:

  • Media: acting as media spokesperson and leading the team to deliver media response in a crisis, developing and implementing product related media strategies with relevant brand teams.
  • Internal employee and leadership communications: ensuring internal communications activities support the company’s business strategy and build a purpose and values led business.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): develop and oversee the delivery of CSR strategy and programs.
  • Corporate Brand Public Relations: take ownership of the presentation of Sanofi’s brand in Australia and New Zealand, this includes employment brand, corporate website and ensuring Sanofi’s external facing teams are supported by a suite of high quality corporate materials.

To be successful in this position you will be a communications professional with heavy media experience in a highly regulated environment.  Key criteria include:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within the healthcare industry
  • A blend of creativity and practicality in approach
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience liaising at executive level
  • Critical thinking
  • Strong focus on quality and attention to detail in a fast paced environment
