What you’ll be doing

Reporting into the Senior Director of Regional Marketing the Marketing Manager - APAC will be based in Australia supporting APAC marketing functions and will be responsible for building an APAC marketing strategy that meets Megaport’s business objectives. This position will work with sales,  business development, global marketing, and product teams to Design, implement, and measure effective campaigns, advertising, inbound/outbound lead generation programs, and collateral to increase sales success rate and raise brand awareness. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will take responsibility for executing certain regional events designed for lead generation and brand awareness. The ability to research local markets, translate the buyer journey to campaign actions, and act as a regional marketing expert is imperative. This position will work in tandem with a global marketing organization spanning four major regions.

Key Tasks

  • Own and create an APAC marketing plan to enable lead generation, brand awareness and revenue growth
  • Drive programs to expand brand awareness within the APAC region
  • Design, implement, and measure effective campaigns and promotions via multi channel marketing efforts including digital and print advertising, SEM, events, workshops, and community channels
  • Ensure regional materials align with SEO programs and Megaport branding
  • Design, implement, and measure digital and nurture campaigns by directly utilising marketing automation tools
  • Own the creation of localised content for our products and services and market localisation efforts
  • Drive ideation and innovative methods for capturing audience awareness and driving greater market share in localise markets
  • Execute on certain industry, local, and regional events
  • Own and manage regional marketing budget
  • Support the creation of marketing assets including videos, case studies, and merchandise
  • Support regional PR and Award efforts, including communications strategy, current messaging, award submissions, media training and PR & Analyst tactics
  • Use strong writing and communication skills to help develop messaging, statements, releases, pitches and various other written communications for media, events, and awards
  • Engage and maintain ongoing relationships with regional, industry journalists
  • Drive partner co-marketing initiatives
  • Support regional social media content creation and manage pipeline

What we are looking for

  • 4+ years in B2B marketing and content marketing,  experience in technology marketing preferred
  • Mastery of marketing automation software a must
  • Experience with designing and executing multi-touch marketing and nurture campaigns
  • Experience with LinkedIn advertising, Google Adwords, and Google Remarketing and digital advertising platforms essential
  • Player-coach required – Must be enthusiastic about developing the plan, but also doing the work
  • Proven record of utilizing social channels to promote regional awareness
  • Must have extensive experience with designing complete marketing campaign flows from lead and prospect stage to conversion and advocacy.
  • Superb writing and editing skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence and autonomy
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with SEM and SEO
  • High level understanding of cloud, networking and Enterprise IT solutions a plus
  • Understanding of Salesforce.com and sales pipeline methodology a plus
  • Must be able to fit in with a bunch of misfits
