As one of the largest and fastest growing digital agencies in Brisbane, we are currently seeking an experienced copywriter to join our SEO team.

The successful candidate will assist the SEO team with all aspects of copywriting and SEO for some of Brisbane & Australia’s best known brands.

The objective of the new SEO Coordinator role is to help the SEO team achieve their goal to double the size of their division over the next two years.

You will work with and receive direct mentoring and training from our SEO Department Manager.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Content writing for SEO, websites, blogs, social media and ad headlines.

• Content research, competitor research, customer research

• SEO and Direct Response Conversion Copywriting

• Producing On-Page Optimisation and Local SEO Reports

• Learning to use software such as Google Analytics and Search Console, Moz, Ahrefs and SEMRush, to set up new SEO Campaigns, keyword research and link building

• Implementing content on various CMSs and liaising with web developers

• Analysing campaigns & recommending areas for improvement

• Responding to technical SEO questions from customers

• Keeping stakeholders up to date with meaningful SEO developments

Requirements/Skills

Applicants will be either; a recent graduate in a relevant discipline with a full journalistic understanding of the English language; have excellent copywriting skills & be tech savvy; be a Marketing Assistant with experience in copywriting and exposure to working with an SEO department; or be currently working in a similar role.

That said, the absolute essential criteria for the right candidate is as follows:

• Desire to learn. It's 2018 and this is the internet, things change quickly and we need to adapt.

• Be a proactive problem solver. Anyone can find problems, not everyone can solve them.

• Positive attitude. We are a fast growing team and don't have time for blaming or complaining.

• Be a great copywriter. Or at least a good copywriter determined to become great.

• Attention to detail. Content is rarely ever perfect in first draft, but it should at least be accurate.

• Work ethic. Again, we are a fast moving team and need people who want to run, not walk.

As mentioned, the above are the must haves. These are the nice to haves:

• Experience copywriting for SEO, websites, blogs, social media

• Knowledge of content management systems (e.g. WordPress etc.)

• Be able to touch type quickly

• Be fast around a computer

• Experience with Google Docs suite
