We are currently seeking a Customer Insights Coordinator to join our high performing Marketing & Communications team, based at our head office in North Sydney. This is a pivotal role for our organisation that will enable Gowrie NSW to make business insights about our sector, including customer insights, trends and competitor activity.

The role

The Customer Insights Coordinator is responsible for maintaining up to date and accurate data on the various Gowrie NSW databases and using this data to make meaningful interpretations and insights about our organisation, customers, and competitors. The position also includes the following:

  • Maintain data and records in the various databases used by Gowrie NSW, ensuring the information is relevant and up to date.
  • Collate and analyse data from various sources and interpret to provide useful business insights about our sector, customers, trends, retention rates and competitor activity.
  • Report and communicate findings in graphs, tables, narratives, and oral presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Be across all elements of the data analysis process including data modelling, database design / development, data mining, analysing trends and building profiles
  • Create reports on market and customer insights and project activities as directed by the Marketing and Communications Manager, including customer engagement online through analysis of digital/web analytics and sales reporting.   

About you

Key selection criteria include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing or related discipline
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Translate data in to meaningful results and communicating the results in the appropriate manner
  • Experience with data management such as extracting, manipulating and merging large volumes of data from a variety of sources
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Filemaker Pro, Survey Monkey, Mailchimp and Wordpress
  • Knowledge and basic understanding of Programming Tools
  • Demonstrate an analytical mindset, enjoy problem solving, and understand how to ask the right questions to deliver a solution focused outcome
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of social measurement and monitoring platforms such as Simply Measured, Radian6, Local Measure
  • Familiarity with website analytics (examples: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics
  • Proven experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter – including campaign management and content creation
  • Experience with website or blog content management platforms (examples: Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal, Sharepoint etc)
  • A strong understanding of the digital marketing channel mix and the functions, content requirements and success metrics of each.
  • Passion for Education sector and understanding of the breadth of services of Gowrie NSW.
