The Role

Responsible for producing staff e-newsletters as well as a range of innovative communications, engagement tools and events. This position sits in a new team within Strategic Communications & Engagement, servicing the Ministry, Secretary, Deputy Secretaries, Executive Directors, and Directors.

Main Responsibilities

• Write content for e-newsletters
• Write stories for the intranet
• Develop a range of innovative communications for staff engagement in formats including newsletters, e-bulletins, intranet collateral, briefing materials, forums and briefings, meetings, special events, surveys etc.
• Help support the Office of the Secretary. the Senior exec and People & Culture branch, in communicating key issues.
• Liaise with Digital & Publishing units.
• Provide support and guidance for internal clients .
• Research trends and issues to identify best practice.
• Support evidence based analysis and reporting

Main Requirements

• Proven track record working in a similar position within government, with an understanding of your stakeholder groups would be very beneficial.
• A proven track record in producing a broad range of digital content, and other internal communications.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, a must.
• Ability to work well in a high paced, high volume, transforming environment.
• Ability to deliver content across a range of internal and external platforms, engaging a wide range of stakeholder groups.
