The Role
The Senior Communications officer is part of the an innovative new team within Strategic Communications & Engagement, servicing the Ministry, Secretary, Deputy Secretaries, Executive Directors, and Directors, to improve the health & wellbeing of people in NSW.
This role sits in a fast paced environment, covering media, communications and stakeholder engagement responsible for managing editorial delivery of the Annual Report, as well as generating content for internal communications e-newsletters, bulletins, town hall meetings, and events
Main Responsibilities
- Plan develop, and format content for a range of complex publications reflecting the Ministry's performance in an engaging manner.
- Write & coordinate content, case studies and infographics.
- Edit & proof read input from a diverse range of stakeholders across the Health system.
- Develop a range of innovative comms & engagement tools.
- Liaise with Digital & Publishing Units.
- Provide guidance and support for internal stakeholders.
Main Requirements
- Previous successful track record working in state government, with an understanding of your stakeholder group would be highly beneficial.
- Experience working in Health or human services will help you deliver and shape content.
- Must be able to work well in a high volume and fast paced environment, delivering on multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
