About the company
My client is a well-known Government Authority is looking for an experienced Senior Communications Officer to develop and implement communication strategies aimed at informing the community on public health issues and to promote objectives and achievements of the Health Authority.
This role is responsible for managing editorial delivery of the Annual Report, as well as generating content for internal communications e-newsletters, bulletins, town hall meetings, and events.
About the role
Working closely with the corporate engagement team you will develop, implement and evaluate communication strategies to support the Government agencies to promote Government initiatives and services.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, develop and format content for a range of complex publications that is easy to read and reflects the performance of the department
- Write and coordinate content, case studies and infographics to ensure the publications are visual and appealing to stakeholders.
- Edit and proof read input from a diverse range of stakeholders across the department system requiring high level attention to detail.
- Assist with the development of a range of innovative communications and engagement tools and materials and events, including but not limited to newsletters, e-bulletins, intranet collateral, briefing material, internal forums and briefings, meetings and special events, and staff surveys.
- Liaise with Digital and Publishing Units to deliver high-quality material and outcomes that meet the departments needs.
- Provide support and guidance to internal clients regarding the best way to communicate projects and campaigns via corporate publications.
About the candidate
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or public relations are essential. Previous experience in health care environment is highly desirable.
- This role demands strong influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively guide senior management in a large, complex corporate environment.
- You will have excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to interact with individuals across the business.
