Product Manager – Green Harvesting

An opportunity currently exists within our Marketing Department for a Product Manager, Green Harvesting. Based out of AGCO's Melbourne head office, the role will be reporting to the Marketing Manager, Products with the key focus being on driving and developing the Green Harvest product range in the Australia & New Zealand markets.
We require an energetic professional with extensive field experience with round balers, forage wagons and hay tools to assist our dealer network and internal departments to streamline and develop our industry best practices and ensure that we achieve our strategic targets.
The role is responsible for:
- Maximizing profit contribution from the sale of Green Harvest products in Australia and New Zealand including the Welger heritage round balers, forage wagons and hay tools
- Developing marketing initiatives to achieve business plan objectives for existing and new products
- Monitoring sales performance against plan and implement programs where required to ensure plan is achieved
- Providing product support and sales training to field staff and dealers
- Working with all stakeholders to understand market needs and supplies information to source factories to drive Product Development
- Overseeing the New Product Introduction process, including products commercial viability and applications suitability within the ANZ market place
- Maximizing efficiency and accuracy of internal processing systems for relevant product ranges.
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business/Marketing or have experience working in a similar discipline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of Australian/New Zealand agricultural industry segments and practices
- Experience in agricultural machinery and product management
- Sound knowledge of marketing practices and a demonstrated track record of success
- Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite
