The Regional Australia Institute (RAI) is seeking to appoint an exceptional Communications Advisor that is ready for a challenge. You will be based in our Canberra office.
At the RAI, we help regional Australia tell its story, influence change and strengthen communities. This position requires someone with passion, a strong work ethic, as well as an ability to think outside the box to help us achieve our communication goals.
Key requirements of the role
- Development and implementation of external communications strategy and plans;
- Management of Web content and web publishing;
- Write communications content, media releases and liaise/manage media relationships;
- Develop internal communications and external communications materials;
- Assist with event and project management;
- Develop video content for use on digital platforms; and
- Social media strategy and content creation.
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in a related field.
- Be a hands-on communications professional that is willing and able help with tasks across the communications functions.
- Strong communication skills with a track record of at least 2 years working in communications or public relations.
- Strong organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple competing tasks.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
