KEY PURPOSE:
To provide business users key organisational information through the effective implementation of data initiatives including data mining and analysis, business intelligence reporting solutions, and by promoting a data aware culture throughout the organisation. To contribute to the evolving data requirements of the organisation by providing analysis, developing models, data mining and developing and maintaining reports to support marketing requirements.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Essential:
- Able to extract data from CRM and SQL Server
- Strong report/dashboard authoring skills in (MS Excel, Power BI or Tableau). Microsoft Power BI experience will be considered favourably.
- Modelling skills using statistical modelling tools like (R, Python or Excel). Examples include correlation analysis, time series predictions and linear regressions.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate to an appropriate analytical or reporting solution
- Good team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
- Academic bachelor degree
- Min 3 years’ experience in Data & Analytics
Desirable:
- Advanced SQL Skills
- Exposure to using API’s to connect to CRM, Google Analytics and Google AdWords.
- Experience in database or data warehouse administration and management
This role requires someone who is willing to learn and ask questions and continually strive for innovation. We do not expect candidates to know everything but must be willing to learn independently.
The Web Strategy Unit is a key player is a data driven team that makes decisions confidently using the best practise techniques by analysing data from Google Analytics, CRM, Billing system and open source datasets. The Business Data Analyst will play a critical role in pulling all the information and providing actionable intelligence to the team.
