This is a great role in an innovative, new team supporting a prominent NSW Government Ministry.  This role is responsible for producing staff e-newsletters as well as a range of innovative communications and engagement tools and events.  It would suit someone who wants to expand their Internal Communications experience into a very large organization or who has a broad Communications background and would like to expand into the Internal Communications field.
Reporting to the Internal Communications Manager, you will be engaged in the following activities:

• Write and format content for e-newsletters
• Write news stories and upload to intranet sites
• Assist with the content and delivery of regular communications through a variety of channels including intranet, digital media, newsletters, meetings and events and staff surveys
• Liaise with Digital and Publishing Units to deliver high-quality material and outcomes that meet the Ministry’s needs
• Liaise with and support internal clients about the best way to communicate projects and issues across the whole Government Department
• Research trends and assist with analysis and reporting to support decision making

Criteria for Selection:

• 5 – 10 years’ broad Communications background with any experience in a Health related sector an advantage
• Experience in Internal Communications would be an advantage but also could offer you the chance to expand into this field
• Well developed Research skills
• Flair for Social Media as there will be the opportunity to also contribute to this arena
• Experience in developing content for newsletters
• Ability to work autonomously and at a fast pace with high attention to detail
• A solid understanding of marketing and communication concepts and techniques
• A strong client and customer focus with excellent interpersonal skills
• Tertiary qualifications in Communication, Marketing, Journalism or similar field

The role is initially offered as a long term contract to January 2019 but is likely to go on longer, and is based in North Sydney.
