We are seeking two Brand Managers – with Retail Pharmacy Channel experience to join our Marketing team at Medtronic. There are 2 opportunities available – 1 x permanent role and 1 x 12 month contract, based in Macquarie Park. The Brand Manager is responsible for managing and developing high performing, value added, sustainable and relevant products for the Pharmacy Retail sector. This will be achieved through gathering information leading to a deep understanding of product needs, wants and opportunities within the Pharmacy sector and implementing product and promotional programs which demonstrate excellence and a high level of professionalism in this FMCG environment.

 

A Day in the Life

  • Prepare Portfolio Plans based on demonstrated market and business analysis, conclusions and recommendations. This includes establishing quotas, forecasts, long term sustainable growth objectives.
  • Gain in depth knowledge of Healthcare and Medical Markets with a focus on the Retail sector. Provide insights in to the business.
  • Setting of a pharmacy list price, Wholesaler/Vendor pricing and review/approve special pricing.
  • Coordinate product launches and ensure new products comply with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Provide product materials for tender and key account negotiations.
  • Develop sales support materials for product range, including cost/benefit analysis.
  • Regularly review sales trends and market issues and then liaise with Planning and Operations to ensure accurate monthly forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Maintain product profitability through regular pricing reviews and price elasticity studies, whilst maintaining sales volume and market share.

Must Have:

  • Experience in Brand Management or Marketing within medical devices/consumables/pharmacy.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Science/ Engineering/ Business Marketing or Healthcare related discipline (preferred).
  • Sound working knowledge of Pharmacy channel sales experience. 
  • Solid understanding of Retail Dynamics and Merchandising.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer skills (excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong planning and communication ability.

  • Medical Devices industry experience
