CHOICE is looking for a Community and Social Media Assistant to join our Social Media team that supports our organisation to fight for fair, safe and just markets for Australian consumers.

The focus of your work will be fostering existing communities and growing the number of people that CHOICE helps. 

  • Creating content for facebook, twitter, instagram and other social platforms.
  • Responding to comments on our communities, including social media platforms and CHOICE's forum Choice.community
  • Creating reports about social and media activity to help CHOICE constantly improve  
  • Collaborating with our journalists, campaigners, product testers and our other experts to create compelling messages
  • Assisting on events like the Shonkys, our awards for the worst businesses and products in Australia
  • Collaborating with and being mentored by our social media and communications experts

About You

You're talented and ready for a big challenge. This role doesn't require existing experience - you may be a recent graduate or looking for a career change and new opportunities.

  • A great communicator that can respond to people quickly and accurately

  • A creative thinker who plans ahead but can also respond quickly to new developments

  • Able to collaborate with people from a variety of backgrounds

  • Organised and able to juggle many projects with multiple deadlines

  • Positive and enthusiastic about helping people

You'll need to be able to quickly develop an understanding of community management and social media engagement when given appropriate guidance and support.
