About the role

You will be required to develop, implement and maintain both domestic and international marketing strategies to align with our organisational goals and company culture.

Reporting directly to the CEO and leading a small talented team, your key responsibility will be to plan, manage and execute all domestic and international marketing projects.

Success will be measured by your ability to build and maintain market presence and achieving marketing initiatives adding value to our growing and dynamic organisation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Strategic marketing planning - lead the development of the marketing plans in line with corporate objectives to maximise the capital value of the brand for the owners; increase market share; build customer relationships and strong brand loyalty.
  • Plan implementation – execute the brand marketing calendar of events for brand and product initiatives - acquisition (direct & indirect channels), lead generation (direct & indirect channels), loyalty building (current student and customer programs), media strategy planning(including PR and digital), and content strategy.
  • Brand & product management - implement a successful market position both financially and as a ‘point of difference’ (versus competition) for the brand. Drawing the best possible performance outcomes i.e., new customers, site traffic, sales conversion, public relations coverage and customer satisfaction. Execute new product launches to market.
  • Segment marketing - develop the marketing plans for key market segment initiatives – intermediaries and agents, local area marketing (i.e. B2B/corporate referrals), international students (direct), events, sales support, B2B channel support, and corporate sponsorship
  • Relationship marketing – CRM and database management.
  • Measurement - deliver and measure all key performance areas in a timely manner for strategy and planning, market research, communications and campaign management, media performance, financials and budgets.
  • Market Research – drive insights generation and segmentation to optimise growth opportunities.
  • Compliance - adhere to VQF, NVR and WHS compliance throughout all duties.
  • Leadership and stakeholder management - team building, systems management, agency management & collaboration.

Essential Criteria:

  • Marketing or related degree with a minimum of five years of professional services in a marketing and communications leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organisational strategic objectives. 
  • Self-confidence to sell ideas and brief agencies and the Kirana team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of a wide range of international and domestic marketing techniques and concepts.
  • Experience in project planning and management and demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes meeting quality, time and budget expectations across all marketing channels.
  • Experience in successfully leading and developing teams.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of domestic and international customer and market dynamics and requirements. 
  • The ability to work to deadlines and flexibility to adapt to changes in a dynamic environment.
  • Applicants must have a current driver's licence. Interstate travel may be required from time to time.
