About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to manage and execute sales events on time to the company’s requirements for all meetings and events in accordance with the Events Calendar.

This role reports to the National Sales Director and provides key support in all areas to the National Sales Director and Sales team for the successful delivery of events and programs to our sales force.

Travel nationally and/ or internationally in addition to attendance at events which may be held of an evening or on the weekend will be required from time to time.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage events and meetings which include: company field events, training events, managers meetings, product launch nights, leaders conferences and business opportunity events
  • Implement processes for all sales events that are easy to manage and execute. Ensure processes include what is involved, stakeholders and deliverables, lead times, deadlines and communication plans
  • Develop and implement a method of evaluation post-event and recommend improvements to ensure that events continue to improve in execution
  • Regularly update the Events Calendar for internal use
  • Coordinate online registration process for meetings and events as well as troubleshoot all registration queries as required
  • Assist with the creation of PowerPoint presentations for the Sales Team
  • Organise processing of invoices and track progress to completion. Ensure paid on time and follow up where necessary
  • Liaise with the National Sales Director, Marketing, Creative Services (Studio) and the Regional Sales Managers to manage, coordinate and execute briefs in relation to event gifting, literature and materials required
  • Implement logistical aspects of meetings and events including internal stakeholders, venues, room set ups, and catering, within budget and providing a detailed event sheet for each venue to internal employees in a timely manner
  • Manage the budget tracker for each event in line with the designated budget and raise any cost concerns to ensure that events are executed within budget. Produce reports to provide analysis on spend versus budget as well as post analysis on final results
  • Conduct site inspections of, for example, hotels, restaurants, venues etc. and manage the on-site delivery at meetings and events when required
  • Identify and implement process/ system improvements
  • Additional duties as may be required or directed by your Manager from time to time

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Business/ Marketing or Diploma in Events Management
  • At least 2 years’ experience in meeting and/ or event planning
  • PC literacy – Word, Excel and PowerPoint (intermediate)
  • Strong planning, coordinating and organisational capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and customer focus
  • Relevant industry experience desirable
  • Australian working rights with no restrictions on hours
