As the result of an internal promotion, we currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Marketing Team as an Assistant Brand Manager on our Core brands Smith’s and Doritos. As part of the Core Brands team, you will help develop, communicate, and deliver the annual and 3 year marketing plans as well as provide ongoing support to Smith’s and Doritos Brand Managers including brand performance tracking, marketing spend processing & preparation for brand presentations. You will also have the opportunity to lead projects independently and to work with PepsiCo Regional and Global marketing teams.

This is an exciting role and offers the right candidate a unique opportunity to contribute to and shape the future of two iconic, market leading brands.

You will:

  • Proactively develop and execute product and packaging innovation to drive consumer and customer centric growth opportunities
  • Contribute to creative, activation development and execution for identified New Product Development (NPD) projects
  • Lead at least one major project per year managing NPD development and through-the-line support with relevant agencies and suppliers
  • Effectively engage, communicate to, and influence other critical functions (Sales, Research and Development, Operations and Finance) within PepsiCo Australia to ensure alignment and flawless execution of identified projects and ensure they are driven through the StageGate process in an effective, timely and thorough manner
  • Lead the Smith’s and Doritos social media programme with responsibility for managing the execution via Spreadfast, PepsiCo’s chosen social media management software tool, in conjunction with Media/Social Media agencies
  • Assist in collating content & collateral for internal & external brand presentations including completion of Go-To-Market documents to support category and sales teams
  • Develop and execute internal events across Doritos and Smiths to drive internal engagement with the brands and reinforce the important role they play within the portfolio
  • Manage purchase order and invoicing process and support Brand Managers in monthly budget forecasting

You will have:

  • A business or marketing degree
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in similar role within FMCG (essential)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social media and experience in leading social media campaigns
  • Technical skills to be proficient in data analysis to gain insights for business decisions
  • Financial acumen and basic profit and loss understanding
  • Demonstrated strong planning & organisational skills to effectively manage and execute projects
  • Good interpersonal skills with experience in developing strong cross-functional relationships
  • Ability to be highly organised yet adaptable to changing circumstances
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) - being clear, convincing and constructive
  • Good time management (managing own workload, multi-tasking skills, prioritising)
  • Creativity to identify alternative approaches and solutions
