Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd is the Regional Tourism Organisation, responsible for managing tourism in the Sunshine Coast Region.

We currently have a vacancy for the role of Marketing & Events Coordinator, reporting to our Head of Marketing.

Visit Sunshine Coast’s marketing team has a broad and exciting portfolio that covers domestic and international marketing, trade, consumer event marketing, business events marketing, partnerships, digital and social marketing as well as Study Sunshine Coast. There will never be a dull moment!

The Marketing & Events Coordinator will play a key support role within the Marketing Department, supporting the Head of Marketing and the wider marketing team.

We are looking for someone that can hit the ground running, is quick to learn, extremely organised and professional and a great team player. You should have a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a marketing, events and/or administrative role
  • Good project management skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate, coordinate and build strong relationships including proven ability to work well within a team, engage with industry members, event organisers and key stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to manage competing priorities and multi-task in a professional manner
  • Intermediate Microsoft office skills, including presentations.
  • Flexibility in performing your role
  • The ability to think outside of the box
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to the brand and organisation
  • Relevant qualifications would be highly advantageous
