If successful, you will be joining our organisation as we commence an exciting time of expansion, growing our innovative digital marketing platforms including Melbourne Now and Discover Your Own Backyard. 

Reporting to and working with the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will jointly manage digital agencies and digital strategy for melbournenow.com.au and social media accounts. Your responsibilities will include: managing SEO, SEM/PPC campaigns, e-mail marketing including acquisition, website and social media management and reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of and reporting for Melbourne Now digital platforms; including website and social media.
  • Strategise and execute SEM/PPC and paid social media campaigns.
  • Management of SEO.
  • Work with Marketing and Communications Manager to manage digital agencies and digital strategy.
  • Management of monthly build of Melbourne Now eDM and campaign related eDMs.
  • Management of eDM database acquisition campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4-5 years digital marketing experience (tourism industry experience is favourable)
  • Tertiary marketing qualification or similar
  • Experience in SEO and SEM including PPC management (Google AdWords, Facebook)
  • Experience with content management systems such as Craft, WordPress or similar
  • Experience using email software such as Campaign Monitor and/or MailChimp
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience with marketing analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics), Facebook Insights, Ad Manager and Google AdWords
  • Basic HTML knowledge
  • Proven experience successfully managing social media platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised, productive and efficient with an eye for detail
  • Displays a can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn
  • Enjoys a good laugh and is willing to be a team player
  • Has the right to work in Australia (due to the nature of this role, working holiday visa applicants cannot be accepted)

Key selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in using software or similar types of software as mentioned above.
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting on analytics and providing recommendations as to why things have occurred and ways to improve.
  • Proven experience in managing SEO and SEM campaigns.
  • Explanation as to why you are the ideal candidate for this role.
