You'll work as a trusted and integral team member reporting directly to Adelaide management, while communicating with other Chess offices around Australia.
Candidates who have experience in the Removals & Storage industry will only be considered so please indicate where you have gained this experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Forging and maintaining strong relationships with key contacts in existing and new accounts
- Building effective customer relations and securing new business development opportunities
- Developing opportunities to cross-sell products to existing corporate clients
- Tender writing and submissions
- Providing regular performance reports to keep or sales database up to date
- Maintaining an accurate and ongoing sales pipeline
- Maintain and effectively use our customer data management system keeping information up to date
- Be prepared to be involved in external business networking after normal hours
- Strategic brainstorming and implementation of new business development initiatives
- Developing and leveraging the company's branding and professional profile in the corporate marketplace
You will need:
- Minimum four years of previous experience in a BDM role in the Adelaide region
- A proven ability to plan, develop and execute business development strategies
- Demonstrated ability to work within a small but dedicated team
- Proven ability to develop and implement B2B sales strategies
- Excellent communication, listening and presentation skills
- A strong positive, can-do attitude and the willingness to progress and develop
- Strong background in negotiating, tendering and estimating
- PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills are essential
- The ability to engage with senior decision makers and business owners
