An opportunity has arisen to ensure our children, and future generations, receive the world-class treatment, care and support they deserve. Our team is seeking a Senior Events Officer to join our dedicated and passionate team on a 12 month, fixed term contract.

What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Director, Patient and Family Support, this role is responsible for the management of Foundation run events, programs and activities that provide much needed distraction, and enrich the lives of patients, their families and staff at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital.
Working with the Partnerships Team, the Senior Events Officer will also support the management of large signature events, including the Channel Nine Telethon, and will be responsible for the management of volunteers to support events.
Who are you?
This is a great opportunity for someone who has extensive experience in event management and has strong project management skills. To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Event Management or similar discipline;
- Experience coordinating volunteers;
- Significant experience (minimum 6 years) in Event Management capacity;
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced operational environment, whilst working to deadlines;
- Ability to work effectively with others and independently. Demonstrates initiative and ownership. A flexible and fair team player.

This is a full-time, 12 month fixed term role that will be based at South Brisbane.
The successful candidate must be available for a mid-late August commencement.
