Your new role 

The Senior Manager - Marketing Technology and Digital Engagement position provides leadership, innovation and expertise in user-centred digital experiences. 

This role is responsible for developing and implementing Curtin's marketing technology roadmap and digital engagement strategy and is accountable for ensuring marketing platforms are aligned and optimized across brand, nurture, conversion activities. 

The incumbent works collaboratively across University Marketing teams and the wider University to enhance the Curtin brand and reputation with external audiences and to inspire people to choose Curtin. 

Someone who is an expert in technology and marketing, who can lead a team to deliver large scale web/digital projects that deliver a superior customer/user experience, would be well suited in this role.

You will bring to the role 

  • Demonstrated management experience within a digital marketing and/or digital development area with the ability to successfully lead and develop a team in the delivery of high quality service.
  • Proficiency in a range of Web technologies, specifically social media management systems, content management systems, marketing automation, HTML5 and CSS3, web analytics tools, databases and email systems.
  • Experience in leading teams to deliver large scale digital marketing projects using agile/lean methods while also managing business as usual work i.e. web updates, social media and marketing automation requests
  • Strong experience implementing and managing whole marketing tech stack solutions including CRM, CMS, Marketing Automation, Data Management Platforms
  • Experience in developing and implementing marketing engagement and conversion strategies.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders - a collaborative, consensus-building approach to managing both internal and external partners.
  • Innovator - someone who knows how to assess new technology, experiment with it, and identify where it can be used effectively. Experience in AI (voice search or messenger bots) or Machine Learning would be valuable.
  • Proven experience with developing UX strategies to improve CX/UX to achieve business goals.
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management ability.
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure/resilient.
  • Resourceful with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and also a versatile self-starter who excels in a team environment
  • Keen problem solver with a solution-oriented attitude.
  • Embraces continual improvement and growth mindset
