The Company
As one of Australia's leading banks our client is known for customer centricity. Their Business Bank is going through a period of change and growth and they have an exceptional opportunity for a Product Manager to join the team and take responsibility for their business deposits products.
The Role
This is a varied, development focussed product management role where you can truly make a difference.
As Product Manager you will be tasked to become the expert in Business Deposits Products. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the customer, competitor and market landscape and utilise this to deliver innovation in product processes and customer experience that position your portfolio as the market leader.
Your responsibilities in this autonomous role will include:
- Understand and manage the Deposits P/L continually looking for opportunities to optimise the portfolio in partnership with Treasury.
- Play a leading role in developing strategic product initiatives that improve the portfolio.
- Work with Line 1 & 2 Risk colleagues to understand the regulatory environment and proactively improve the product and risk processes.
- Identify and resolve customer complaints. You will use your strong analytical skills to understand the voice of the customer and develop proactive resolution to customer complaint patterns.
Working in a culture of innovation and continuous improvement you will always be looking for opportunities to improve the product portfolio.
You will work with stakeholders across the business including front line and marketing to understand and respond to product issues they are facing and position the portfolio for growth.
The Person
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 5-7 years' experience ideally with exposure to Product/ Risk Management in a large banking environment.
You will have strong analytical skills and an understanding of P/L drivers in a banking environment.
Driven and curious you will want to succeed in an environment of innovation and always be looking for opportunities to improve your product portfolio.
Experience in pricing and/or consulting would be highly regarded but key to success will be your strong work ethic and ability to manage competing needs in tight timeframes whilst always keeping the customer as the central priority.
