Located in Melbourne in the Wholesale division of Helloworld Limited, the Digital Marketing Executive has responsibility of delivering the organisations digital marketing activity across all markets (AU / US /UK). Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you will assist in the execution of the company's marketing strategy across the full digital portfolio including website, social media, email and search and affiliate channels for Helloworld Travel’s wholesale brands, including Qantas Holidays, viva! Holidays, Sunlover Holidays, Territory Discoveries, Insider Journeys, GO Holidays and The Cruise Team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Assist in maintenance and new development of websites including content updates, XML distribution and analytics.
- Assist Digital Marketing Manager with CRM support and trouble-shooting
- Manage database and utilise CRM to plan, execute and measure campaigns and activity across consumer and trade. Work with Marketing Team to develop a data strategy that includes lead nurturing, segmentation and retention
- Manage email templates / design, reporting and analytics, optimisation, set up automation and triggered communications to support data strategy
- Present and clearly articulate project plans, development related timelines, goals and results in a timely manner
- Develop and report customer and business intelligence gained from web and CRM analytics to aid business decision making
- Execute and optimise organic social activity and assist in content generation
- Assist in management of paid search activity and provide content
- Production of static images such as banners for use in digital channels
- Assist in the creation and management of user and process documentation as and when required
- Update the digital marketing budget, process invoices and assist in reporting
Skills and experience
- Degree qualified in Marketing / Communications or Technology
- Minimum of 3 years' digital experience ideally with a focus on data management and email campaigns
- Experience of working with 3rd party email providers and CRM platforms
- Proficient in developing and optimising HTML email communications (including design and build)
- Database management including lead nurture, segmentation and retention
- Experience of working with a CMS to edit and create website content
- A good understanding of websites including SEO, UX/UI, and analytics
- Track record of being able to measure performance of digital marketing efforts using Web analytics tools (e,g, Google Analytics)
- Experience in paid search and managing platforms such as AdWords
- Ability to use Photoshop / InDesign to create static content for digital communications
- Ability to work unsupervised towards completion of committed tasks
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet agreed deadlines
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Previous experience of working in the travel industry would be preferable but not essential
