You will be working for a high profile state government department that supports Victorians to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy and healthy lives. It does this by supporting lifelong for a 21st century education and society.
Working with a variety of departments you will:
- Developing, managing and implementing stakeholder / community engagement and communications strategies
- Managing communications and community engagement activities across a significant school infrastructure program
- Providing ongoing support and engagement to communities, ensuring projects meet individual school and community needs
- Proactively identifying and responding promptly to community issues associated with school capital works projects and developing mitigation strategies in consultation with senior management as required
- Track and report on community engagement milestones
- Assisting to provide communication advice and support to the Authority's Executives, advisors and other internal teams on risk assessment, issues management, community engagement and stakeholder management strategies using appropriate communication and engagement tools.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns and activities, recommend strategies to manage the issues, including identifying appropriate responses, engagement and communication channels
Opportunity available for Senior Community Engagement Officer with the following experience:
- Understands the reasons behind the organisational climate and culture
- Edits written communications to ensure they contain the information necessary to achieve their purpose appropriate style and formats are used
- Understands issues and pressures to which the organisation has to respond
- Prepares complex briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language
- Identifies issues in common for one or more stakeholders and uses to build mutually beneficial partnerships
