We started out over 12 years ago as a pure play e-commerce business and now have grown to one of the largest personalised school supplies companies in Australia. About the role

We're looking for someone who is not only amazing at marketing but who can fit into our culture. You will be working directly with the founders of Bright Star Kids, as well as collaborating on a daily basis with our various teams who take care of product design, marketing and content creation. You need to have at least 5 years experience in a senior marketing role, with a track record of being able to engage and motivate your team to do their very best work. You should eat and breath data, and use it to improve our marketing activities across the business. You need to have an in-depth knowledge of the 'Mum' market, and ideally, have worked in this space over the last number of years.

What will this role include?

  • Plan and help to execute all our marketing campaigns to drive qualified traffic through Facebook Ads, social media, blog, SEO, email, influencers and video.

  • Define customer segments, identify needs, prioritise markets, and utilise research and insights to develop effective strategies to drive the business's top and bottom line, while building our overarching brand.

  • Provide leadership in creating and translating our brand strategy cross-functionally into not only marketing/PR tactics, messaging & creative, but also website UX/UI, product development and all touchpoints across our customer experience.

  • Manage a large marketing budget and maximise ROI on marketing spend across paid social, paid search, display, shopping, offline and other paid media channels.

  • Use Google Analytics and other supporting data systems to report on performance and use these results to make critical business decisions, including identifying trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on the insights.

  • Collaborate with setting KPI benchmarks to evolve how we monitor, measure, and analyse the effectiveness of all marketing initiatives and programs.

  • Refine the strategy of key social media channels and corresponding influencer campaigns (Instagram, YouTube Facebook, and Pinterest), including the purpose it serves, KPI's, levers to accelerate lead acquisition through each channel, and dedicated budgets.

  • Innovatively drive our Customer Loyalty and School Fundraising programs.

  • Work alongside our creative team to develop effective marketing collateral, products and on-site content and usability, to drive more traffic and increase sales.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends through continuous training and networking events.

 

We're offering a very competitive salary, which will be dependent on your skill level and is negotiable.

 

Located in Unanderra, NSW 2526 (10 minutes from Wollongong) there is free parking and public transport within close proximity.
