An opportunity for an Internal Communications Assistant has become available within the Communications department of ALDI, based in Minchinbury. This position is full time.

The recently established Internal Communications team will play a key part in increasing employee engagement and ensuring all 11,000 employees feel connected and proud to work for ALDI.

As the Internal Communications Assistant your primary focus will be executing the internal communications content strategy ensuring a regular, timely and relevant flow of information throughout the organisation to support employee engagement.

This position will be challenging, with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. Working in a fast paced environment, you will have a diverse role and managing your own workload, multiple deadlines, fostering an employee community and driving change.

What we are looking for:

You will have an extensive background in Communications with experience in Internal Communications being highly regarded. You will work alongside our supporting agencies, broader Communications and Marketing team and liaise with multiple stakeholders from around the business.

Selection Criteria:

• Communications professional with a minimum of 3 years' experience
• Ability to manage and write content for communications channels
• Strong written and verbal skills and an open communication style
• Interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• The journalistic ability to source stories from ALDI and employees
• Highly organised with an ability to multi task
• Excellent time management skills
• High level of attention to detail and quality
• Have a creative eye to develop internal communications strategies and tactics to engage employees
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances at short notice and meet ongoing deadlines
• Ability to identify trends, evaluate success and compile reports to measure the effectiveness of the channel and key messages

Your responsibilities:

• The implementation of our internal communications content strategy
• Have a deep understanding of the different audience types and how to write for each
• Provide analysis on key metrics, identify trends and use data to create reports demonstrating the effectiveness of the channel
• Respond to employee feedback and comments and adjust the strategy and content accordingly
• Actively manage the area of responsibility by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency

This role reports to the Internal Communications Manager and will work alongside a part-time Internal Communications Assistant.
