Institute of Public Administration, Victoria (IPAA Victoria) is the not-for-profit professional association for public sector professionals across all three levels of government in Victoria; as well as those in the community, tertiary education and corporate sectors who work with the public sector. About the role

IPAA (Vic) is looking for an experienced communications professional who has the ability to write well crafted text that can be used for a variety of purposes including content and online marketing. Your experience in utilising social media platforms to engage target audiences and raise organisational profile will be highly regarded.

• Writing and reviewing content of all IPAA Victoria publications, both print and media based.
• Contributing to the development of regular member and practitioner focussed publications.
• Provision of copy-writing expertise and media and communications advice to the broader organisation.
• Increasing positive media exposure.
• High level speech writing for the IPAA Victoria Board President, Board members and CEO.

Skills and experience

• Demonstrated experience working in a similar role.
• Highly developed skills in creative and engaging copy writing, speechwriting and the art of story telling.
• Previous experience working in the public sector with a good understanding of the public sector ecosystem.
• Completion of tertiary education in a relevant discipline desirable, but not essential.
