We’re excited to be on the lookout for a super organized, proactive and high energy Social Media & Events Coordinator to join our team.

Working as part of our Marketing Communications team, you’ll focus on increasing the brand preference and advocacy of Sony by supporting our Social Media, Community and Event activities, with the key goal of maintaining, growing and developing an engaged community of Sony customers.

On top of this, you’ll be responsible for the event coordination for Sony Australia, including retailer roadshows, end-consumer events and staff activities!

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for events, marketing communications and previous experience in managing small to large scale events.

 

About the role

  • Proactively supporting the Social, Community & Events Manager with the day-to-day running and execution of social media, community and event activities
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders regarding the planning & logistics of various events and activities including meet-ups / VIP nights
  • Managing and executing multiple campaigns/activities on time and within budget
  • Assisting with development and creation of copywriting and digital content for various social media platforms 
  • Assisting the scheduling, briefing, content creation and execution of events and social media activities
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with various Agencies
  • Compliance commitments e.g. SPAM and Privacy act 
  • General Administration – e.g. purchase order creation, mail & logistic requirements

 

About you

  • Demonstrated experience managing small to large scale events, conferences, seminars and workshops, including managing budgets
  • Incredibly organised with excellent attention to detail  
  • Ability to work closely with a small team and manage multiple projects independently
  • Creative thinker with the ability to think outside the box and deliver solutions
  • Confident and able to communicate with stakeholders of all levels
  • Strong understanding of event marketing and social media
  • Happy to work in a fast paced environment
  • A current and valid driver’s licence would be a bonus
