Our client is an inner Brisbane based, award winning, industry leader with a dynamic, growing team that has an enviable reputation for service delivery and great outcomes for its clients. They are now searching for a talented senior account manager (or more junior to grow into this role) to join their Brisbane based head office with a vibrant mix of youth and experience, to round out the team and take it to a new level in excellence. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will manage team looking after a broad portfolio of exciting clients!  Key duties will include:

• Develop and maintain relationships with your assigned clients becoming their ‘trusted advisor’ and ensure existing client retention
• Research, plan and execute strategic PR, digital and communication activities ensuring all client deadlines are met and KPIs are achieved
• Lead and manage your internal team member to support the company growth objectives and live the company core values
• Support the company’s growth targets with new business development activities

You can demonstrate a successful track record in an account manager role within an agency environment. Agency experience is essential although you may now be working in government or industry and looking to return to agency work where you can use your creative and client facing skills more effectively and enhance the fast paced and varied nature of agency work. You may be frustrated in your current role and looking for more autonomy and decision making ability or you could be looking for more professional development and seek a coach or mentor to develop your skills further.

You will possess the following skills and attributes:

• 2+ years’ experience PR, digital, social media, communication experience with at least one year in a senior account manager role within an agency, responsible for client and internal team management
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing client strategies and campaign
• Highly creative and strategic thinker to achieve client outcomes
• Strong work ethic, drive, ambition and a positive attitude
• Highly organised, time keeping is a strength
• People management skills, you are a doer, you lead by example
• Superior writing skills across all communication channels (media, internal, digital, social media accounts)
• Desire to deliver measurable value for your clients
• Proven track record of delivering on time and budget for the agency and the client
• Ability to build relationships and educate internal and external stakeholders
• You bring solutions not excuses when faced with problems
• A fast learner, flexible with good commercial acumen
• Constantly seek out new opportunities with existing clients and potential new clients to support the company growth plan
• Vast experience and real passion for the PR, digital and communication industry
• Tertiary qualifications in PR/ communication / journalism / digital marketing or equivalent
