Global Program Director - Global Innovation & Tech Event

 We are excited to partner with a global, independent and hugely successful provider of Technology Recruitment and Consulting Services, and are looking for a Global Program Director to lead the strategy and execution of a global innovation and technology event. 

The company's infrastructure operates from 3 distinct hubs Sydney, London, and San Francisco representing the branches of APAC, Europe, and North America respectively. An Australian born company, the cornerstone of the organisations vision is a hugely successful nation-wide awards night - a program that has been running for 5 years which identifies and recognizes great start-up ideas and brave leaders across Australia. Throughout this period it has been supported by a number of high profile judges including Sir Richard Branson and Steve Wozniak.

Due to the continued expansion of the program, we require a driven and passionate person for the newly created position of Global Program Director to take this program to the next level and determine a clear and unique strategy for a multi-day, global, festival-esque technology, innovation, and start-up event.

This role will include overseeing the following:

• Working with our global Marketing and Executive team and stakeholders to coordinate a global series of events based around a broader theme of innovation, technology, and start-ups.
• Managing a global events budget 
• Promotion/launch of entries from APAC/Europe/North America.
• Developing high profile media partnerships 
• Developing relationships with VC's, start-up hubs/accelerators to promote and support the program
• Identifying and supporting sponsors and linking their participation to the company's charitable foundation.
• Identifying new judges/liaising with current ones.
• Development of compelling prizes and winners' trips.
• Identifying investment opportunities for the wider company.

You will require the following experience & attributes:

• A passion for innovation and the start-up sector with an active and impactful background in this community.
• A flare for organisation including experience in high profile international event management.
• Experience working with the VC community.
• Strategic/entrepreneurial thinker with the ability to execute at pace, efficiently and professionally.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine desire to make a positive difference.
• A natural team player, strong work ethic, and the ability to travel both locally and overseas.

 This can be part or full time and could be based in Sydney, London, or San Francisco.
