About the role

Ready to take the next step up in your career? This is a rare opportunity for a talented copywriter to expand his or her experience beyond copy and take on a commercial skillset. With a focus on delivering written content that drives business outcomes, you'll be accountable for improving website content and crafting experiences that attract new customers.

Reporting to the Performance Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for content placement and optimization across Australia and New Zealand. You'll be at ground zero of Webjet's content marketing efforts; learning the intricacies of SEO, developing engaging social media content and assisting the launch of new holidays to exotic locations.

The role is part of a young and passionate marketing team, committed to delivering exceptional marketing campaigns whilst upholding a customer first mindset.
 

Skills and experience

Primary Duties

  • Work primarily with the SEO team to enhance visibility within search engines
  • Embed yourself within Webjet Exclusive's product team to launch dream holidays to international destinations
  • Hire and manage your own team of external copywriters to support your objectives
  • Manage a copywriting budget and related expenses
  • Manage upload and removal of website pages
  • Engage and grow our social media communities by developing social content that cuts through

Secondary Duties

  • Liaise with the broader marketing team to grow Webjet beyond your immediate remit
  • Understand key customer touchpoints and proactively suggest improvements to the team
  • Maintain website copy to reflect current business state
  • Champion website messaging consistency

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience copywriting
  • Demonstrable experience updating a variety of website content management systems
  • Demonstrable ability to think critically and analytically
  • Demonstrable ability with Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrable ability to prioritise in a constantly changing environment
  • Demonstrable ability with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics

Will be highly regarded:

  • Degree in Marketing or Commerce (or similar)
  • Experience within the travel industry
  • Previous experience writing SEO content
  • Experience analysing the customer journey
  • Experience with A/B testing software
