The Opportunity

The Strategic Marketing and Communications (SMC) unit of Monash University is all about making an impact. Within the university, we set the strategic marketing and communications direction and are enablers of the brand. We are often the first point of contact with all our audiences and therefore we need to make the message count.

We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Marketing Optimisation Analyst, which is a highly cross-functional role within the Strategic Marketing and Communications Divisions, dedicated to ensuring we deliver value to Monash through understanding our return on marketing investment. This position requires a marketing and analytics guru that puts measurements at the forefront of everything they do, setting a high bar for the sector by ensuring every marketing activity delivers the best outcome for Monash.

This position will also lead the development of marketing measurement frameworks to ensure Monash is focused on delivering results. Working to agile and activity-based work practices the Marketing Optimisation Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring all projects are started with measurable objectives in mind.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for developing and identifying relevant target audiences and insights that can underpin marketing activity. Performing analysis of our audience base and prospects to identify marketing opportunities. Recommend and implement data modelling techniques across Monash activity to drive insight for the business. Lead the collection, analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative information to identify new marketing opportunities, trends and to provide an understanding of the competitive landscape for both offline and online channels. Establish and enhance strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

If you have a degree (or experience) in statistics, marketing or other relevant discipline and extensive analytics experience, this could be the role for you.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
