The City of Subiaco is seeking an experienced and motivated community engagement professional for a thirteen-month fixed-term contract commencing late August 2018. The position is part-time, working 22.8 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday).
The Community Engagement Adviser provides leadership and advice in the areas of community engagement, public consultation and stakeholder relations.
We are looking for a strong team player who can hit the ground running. This role sits in the busy Communications and Engagement team within the Office of the CEO.
This role is responsible for:
- Developing and implementing a range of community engagement plans and activities, and undertaking analysis and evaluation of the outcomes
- Maintaining Have Your Say Subiaco, the city's online community engagement website
- Providing community engagement advice to internal stakeholders
The successful applicant will have:
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- An understanding of community engagement principles and processes
- Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of community engagement activities, initiatives and projects
- Demonstrated experience using website content management systems
