About the Role

As our major advertising spend, SEM is a crucial portion of our online transaction pipeline, and candidates will be expected to negotiate a delicate balance between PPC costs and thin profit margins. As KPIs in this sector are easy to measure, your performance will speak for itself in reducing wasted costs while optimising existing campaigns covering our entire catalogue. 

You will have hands-on knowledge in optimising SEM campaigns and the ability to manipulate data and analytics into tangible insights. 

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be expected to proactively suggest additional PPC tactics and stay abreast of new functionality and standards of operation within the SEM industry and standard PPC software toolsets. You will also ensure existing SEM campaigns are continuously optimised to improve efficiency and profitability, while seasonal pricing or temporary sales are also promoted through these channels accordingly.

You will also be required to compile monthly performance reports on results of the previous months' SEM spend.

About You

You will have a minimum of 2+ years' SEM experience and have the following skills:

  • High level of expertise in both creating and developing strategic search campaigns
  • Understanding of SEM best practices and how to align campaigns with business and brand marketing goals
  • Experience in driving efficient search metrics based on brand objectives (e.g. CPA, CPC)
  • SEO knowledge a must
  • Be passionate about the technology and marketing industries in general
  • Be proactive in suggesting new tactics/features for implementation in SEM campaigns

Experience with search and analysis tools such as:

  •  Google AdWords
  •  Google Analytics
  •  Google Webmaster Tools
  •  Google Tag Manager
  •  Intermediate to Advanced Excel
  •  Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint
  •  Keyword Research Tools (e.g. Google Keyword planner)
  •  Split or A/B testing platforms
