What you’ll be doing

As Email Marketing Manager, you will lead a team in developing and executing Envato’s email strategy.  From customer acquisition to retention, you will create, manage on continuously optimise a broad range of email programs. This will include planning and implementing an email marketing automation strategy to reduce cost and to scale with the business. More specifically you'll:

• Define, manage and iterate an email marketing roadmap
• Define and communicate email marketing goals
• Work with the Analytics & Business Intelligence team to maximise segmentation opportunities based on subscriber interests and behaviour
• Launch and iterate personalised marketing emails
• Manage opt-in email subscriber groups of well over 2 million
• Work with stakeholders to define best practices and strategy
• Ensure all emails are on-brand and maintain below-average unsubscribe rates, abuse rates, and other negative indicators
• Directly manage a team of email marketers, and provide leadership to broader team of designers, marketers and others involved in email execution.
• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, mentoring and support
   

What we’re looking for

• Demonstrated digital marketing experience
• Proven email marketing experience
• Proven success growing an email program and improving email ROI at scale
• Proven success managing large marketing campaigns across multiple channels
• Strong analytical skills with proven track record of increasing ROI from campaigns and emails
• Strong understanding of what make a campaign successful and how to sell something
• Experience motivating stakeholders from across the business
• Experience working within brand guidelines
• Experience managing requests from multiple stakeholders across a business
• Strong eye for detail when creating digital assets.  
• Experience with Google Analytics or similar tools
• Self starter
• Be great to work with
• Experience in the design/development space a plus
