About Us
We are looking for an analyst to become a core member of our small but fast-growing mobility team. Valour Consultancy is a provider of market intelligence, established six years ago by three good friends from the UK. In that time, we have taken the company from being an unknown to becoming an industry leader and a trusted brand for those with a vested interest in the aviation and maritime sector. Our clients range from satellite operators, airlines, investment firms, technology manufacturers and internet service providers.

The Role - Key Responsibilities

• You will be expected to effectively scope each study you work on - identifying the key questions that need answering and the important topics the report should focus on;
• To develop accurate and actionable insights, you will need to build your knowledge on each report area during the research period (which tends to be anywhere from three to six months) by:
  • Conducting telephone and face-to-face interviews with companies
  • Identifying and attending key industry events;
  • Carrying out secondary research as required to fill any gaps;
• You will produce robust and justifiable forecasts combined with a written analysis of the data;
• You won’t be asked to hide away whilst others take the glory for your work. Instead, you will create and present your findings to clients, via a webinar or at industry events;
• Being able to lead discussions with industry experts and present in front of large groups is therefore vital

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in business studies, economics, statistics, or mathematics, engineering or another technical field;
• Ability to take the initiative to identify and resolve complex problems independently;
• Willingness to working as part of a small team with the ability to work with limited supervision;
• Familiar with MS Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
• Ability to read and write content-rich research reports in good English; and
• Ability to utilise and/or build knowledge of their assigned disciplines to produce carefully vetted, quantitative products, and written work.
• Solid problem-solving, judgment and decision-making skills;
• Highly effective organisation and prioritisation skills including the ability to project manage and deliver on time;
• You must be willing to work in a small business and not put off by the idea of being left to work independently;
• Australian Citizen or PR.
