We are looking for someone to help us enable that dream as an Online Marketplaces Manager – ANZ and International, based in either our Melbourne or Christchurch Support Office. This position will oversee the marketing and trading operations across all online marketplaces, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Kathmandu online marketplace strategies. 

You will be motivated by success and detailed orientated, with strong computer and internet skills, as well as a proven track record working in an online consumer focused retail organisation. Preferably, you will also have an understanding of the outdoor equipment retail environment and a passion for online retailing.

 Key areas of responsibility include:

• Developing and growing the Kathmandu marketplace channels in a profitable and sustainable way by defining and implementing a clear marketplace strategy
• Managing marketplace specialists internally, and marketplace account managers externally, ensuring a robust trading and marketing calendar is developed and is implemented to deliver marketplace sales.
• Working with Online Analysts to monitor and report on marketplace performance with actionable insights.
• Leading the operational requirements of the marketplaces team, ensuring marketplace orders are fulfilled to set service level agreements by our logistics team.

• A minimum of 6 years online experience with exposure to marketing and trading activities
• Experience in an online consumer focused retail organisation
• Business intelligence (BI) system experience
• The ability to summarise and communicate complex data and scenarios to a wide audience (up and down the organisation)
• A team player attitude and be someone who enjoys working with and being challenged by peers both inside and outside of their immediate team
