 Due to continued growth and new project opportunities across the water infrastructure sector, Downer is seeking a talented and professional Bid Writer. Reporting to the General Manager – Sales (Water) and based in our North Ryde office, this role is responsible for the preparation of high quality proposals and tenders specific to the water infrastructure market.

We are seeking a Bid Writer with previous experience gained within a similar role, particularly with a background in the preparation and compilation of tenders, bids, proposals and pre-qualifications across construction / infrastructure project sectors. Ideally, you will have a strong communications background with proven ability to work to strict deadlines. Experience using graphics packages with a bid preparation context highly desirable.

ABOUT YOU

1. Qualifications in marketing, communications and/or publishing.
2. Exceptional communication skills – specifically writing skills both technical and creative.
3. Proven experience in planning, writing, compiling and preparation of tenders.
4. Ability to build rapport with bid teams within short timeframes.
5. Strong research capability with initiative to "think outside the square" in sourcing information.
6. Willingness to work flexible hours if required to suit bid timelines.
7. Advanced MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
8. Strong organisational and administrative skills
