About the Role

Practicology is seeking a Social Media Specialist to deliver best practice social media and content marketing strategies.  

Working under the direction of our Social Media Manager, the Social Media Specialist will be responsible for the implementation and execution of Social Media marketing strategies, fulfilling content marketing needs across the business. You will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more customers and promote our brand. Ultimately, you will be responsible for increasing web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies.

Key responsibilities and activities will include social media content creation and calendar management, content and community monthly reports, post scheduling and day-to-day management of the community across key client accounts and platforms. You will also perform audits of the social media and content marketing activity across our clients as part of consultancy projects.

You will be driven to deliver above expectations, demonstrating strong analytical yet creative writing spirit, with a strategic approach to content.

 

Main duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager and digital team to develop strategic social media marketing solutions for client programs
  • Research competitor social marketing metrics and provide recommendations based on their learnings
  • Perform platform-wide social media audits that identify key issues, produce priority lists for clients and provide recommendations on best practices
  • Generate or plan, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. photos, videos, and news)
  • Collaborate and work with internal and external teams such as marketing, sales, and customer service to create and manage content across channels whilst maintaining brand consistency
  • Communicate with followers and respond to queries promptly across public and private forums
  • Track enquiries using a customer sentiment tracking framework to report key themes and insights back to clients
  • Use social media marketing tools such as Iconosquare, Schedugr.am, Facebook Insights and Socialbakers  
  • Produce monthly and quarterly reports, measuring against client key performance indicators
  • Staying up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics and stay abreast of latest algorithm’s and updates to improve overall SEO and social media effectiveness.
  • Manage timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction while analysing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimize visits
  • Bring a unique vision and approach to content marketing that supports Practicology’s performance and organic marketing strategy

 

Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Proven experience in managing a social media community
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • BA in Marketing or similar relevant field
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite experience across Excel, PowerPoint and Word

 

Client Delivery

  • Ensure the timely delivery of high quality consultancy projects for clients
  • Assist in the management of client accounts efficiently and professionally
  • Ensure client confidentiality is paramount and assured at all times
  • Keep accurate timesheets and reconcile monthly at the end of month or project
  • Contribute to the regular social content that showcases Practicology’s industry expertise and thought leadership
  • Upkeep and maintenance of social and content calendars, as well as, time spent working across each client
