The SMSF Association is the independent, professional body representing Australia’s self-managed super fund sector. Focused on continually improving the quality of advisors, the knowledge of trustees and the credibility and health of a vibrant SMSF community, we are currently seeking an Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team.

Our events team is responsible for the coordination and delivery of high quality, professional events including conferences, workshops and seminars. This role would be well suited to an individual who has experience in the coordination of events from end to end in a professional services environment, ideally familiar with Associations and/or the financial services industry, however, your ability to learn and adapt on the job will put you in good stead.

Reporting to the Senior Events and Engagement Manager, we are looking for a team member with:

  • Experience in project management and coordinating small to medium sized events
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Eagerness to work collaboratively with the rest of the organisation to support the Association’s members

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • 2+ years’ experience in events
  • Experience working effectively in a small team environment
  • An innovative and resourceful focus
  • Great people skills including client relationship skills
  • Experience with budgets, committees and managing multiple stakeholders
  • A systematic and methodical approach to your work
  • High level of skill and experience with using the Microsoft suit of programs (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint).

This role could be undertaken on a full-time basis or part week as negotiated.

Applications close Sunday 29th July.
