About the role

We are looking for an experienced marketing professional to join our fabulous team and take responsibility for the organisation's marketing strategy and operations.

The role of the Marketing Manager is to grow AND's membership and increase member engagement across our programs, services, events and content.

This role involves strategy as well as lots of practical, hands-on work. As part of the Leadership Team you will work closely with colleagues and members and will report to the CEO.

Key deliverables of the role

  • Oversee development of member communications, including a monthly newsletter, weekly bulletin, email promotions and social media posts, to grow our audiences
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an entertaining and thought-provoking annual conference
  • Develop an annual marketing, communications and public relations plan, including strategy, goals and budget
  • Develop engaging collateral to promote AND's services and encourage new organisations to join as members
  • Develop and implement marketing plans for new and existing products and services
  • Monitor, report on and review all marketing activity and results
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers, including design agencies, printers and web developers, to produce publications, brochures, business cards, stationery, etc.
  • Liaise with media representatives and facilitate media opportunities
  • Manage integration and consistency of key messages across all channels
  • Support team members to produce well-written, appropriately-branded, accessible documents, proposals and presentations 

Key capabilities

Experience and knowledge

  • At least five years' marketing and communications experience at account manager/manager level – B2B marketing and communications experience an advantage
  • At least two years' project or event management experience
  • Knowledge of digital content strategy and production, and experience working with creative suppliers
  • Knowledge and experience measuring results of marketing activities
  • Experience writing copy for media, including op-eds and speeches, will be viewed favourably
  • Knowledge of latest trends in digital media and data analysis
  • Experience working with PR agencies an advantage
  • Must demonstrate an interest in, and commitment to, working to enhance the inclusion of people with disability

Technical proficiency

  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications
  • Experience with, or willing to learn, a Customer Relationship Management system (Salesforce)
  • Able to, and comfortable with, using teleconferencing and videoconferencing for external and inter-office meetings
  • Advanced computer literacy, including experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of digital accessibility requirements desirable
  • Strong experience in email marketing, web content management, social media and digital content development
  • Understanding of graphic design and print production processes
